She did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's off to her first fay of preschool! We are very excited for her! Mommy's not having any trouble either!! Love you beautiful girl!

summer toads

Because of all the rain this summer, we have had lots of toads this summer! Malachi is fascinated with catching them. We finally got a picture of one. This toad is the biggest we've seen so far.

Malachi's 2nd grade teacher is Ms. Cole! He says she's really nice and lots of fun! He started his homework for the week already. With school and football there won't be much time for anything else until the season's over. FUN TIMES!

to the Bay one last time...

The kids, Rachel (neice), Ian (Malachi's best friend) and I went to The Bay yesterday for their last fun day before school starts on Thursday! My kids are turning into fish. As Makaelyn says, "I'm a sumerine!". Kids are too cute! I'll be posting more pics this week once they start school!

texas heat

So I arrived in Texas on Thursday to get the kids from Nana and Pa's. We return home tomorrow night. Because I have lived in Colorado for so long, this Texas heat really feels more hot than normal. The heat has been a great excuse to swim and stay inside in the A/C. The kids really miss daddy and can't wait to get home and back to "norm". It's been a great visit and nice break from work!!

Since the last post we moved G & G to Texas, Malachi turned "7", Malachi's baseball team won 1st place for the season, Aunt Nett, Rhian Grace, Uncle J, Nandy and Nana came to see us, then the following week for the 4th of July Pa, Nana, Aunt Nett and Rhian Grace came and helped clean out our basement (thank you, thank you, thank you). It's been a busy June and July!! Now the kids are in Texas for two weeks with Nana and Pa (they also get to see Uncle J, Aunt Nett, Rhian Grace, Nandy, G and G plus many others)! It's too quiet around here. I get so used to the noise that now it feels weird when it's quiet. Hoping the kids are enjoying themselves and missing them all at the same time!

memorial day weekend in albuquerque

We're spending our weekend in NM. We're packing up my grandparents and moving them to Texas to be closer to my parents. My granddaddy isn't able to care for himself or my grandma anymore. No other family lives in NM and this is the best option for them. I'll be blogging more as we know more...
